2007 marks the 75th Anniversary of the peak of the eugenics movement and eugenics research. Americans invented the eugenics movement and influenced Hitler's politics and genocide of the Jews.
The Washington Deadskins are also celebrating their 75th Anniversary. The word "Redskins" is a hate word. I'm sure many people on here would have problems with a team called the New York "Niggers". The real issue is those are hate words, not words of color.

Furthermore, in no means are the Redskins related to that and by no means is the team a symbol of racism. It's pride and strength...build a better argument. Any words can be hate words if used that way. The fact is, NFL fans don't use Redskins as a hateful term, but instead the name of a dignified team in the NFL. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure the fanbase consists of about every race of person. Build a better argument and don't stoop to the level you did to gain attention.

Years before writing the Wizard of Oz, Frank Baum was calling for the extermination and Genocide of the "redskins" in his articles. Those horrible plots by insane war criminals (Nazis) was inspired by America's treatment of the "redskins." Thanks for putting words in my mouth. I can understand why some would be offended, but to compare the members of the team to nazis is wrong. I'm sure that Native Americans didn't go by the name Indians at the time, hell they didn't go by the term Native Americans. Like I said, any word can be offensive based upon its context...no fan or team member uses the term to offend.
