Buddy, I love everything musically good in any style. I know because of that I may not have mastered any one thing but that doesn't mean that people love it more than I do. All that matters is how much pleasure you get from the instrument. I know fantastic guitar players that suffer from dissatisfaction. Thanks for your comment.....John

If the Gibsons are out of your price range (as they are mine) you should look into Epiphone, they make good solid guitars with Gibson pickups sooo you still get the tone.

hey john, you forgot to mention izzy stradlin, the rythim guitar player from guns n roses.
he did the whole apetite for destruction album with this guitar.look here on you tube for the guns n roses concert at the ritz in 1988, he plays the whole show with a white es175. by the way nice video.

My dad has a 1950's Gibson Es-175 D we took to a music shop and they said it's worth about $8000 and he bought it for $250 back in the day. He got really lucky haha
