I've noticed something about the way Obama spaces what he says in even chunks interspersed with 'aah,' and 'uh.' Anybody listening to him is just focusing on what is in that latest segment. Obama can go on forever that way and the listeners are always just hearing the last thing that he just said. It wouldn't matter what the content of any of those segments were. This guy can really hypnotize an audience. Unfortunately, only lame-brained people are susceptible to hypnosis, his supporters.

Obama's response here was really good i thought. Especially the point about the democracy gap that Ralph Nader talks about. My problem with Obama is that he doesn't get specific about how exactly he would reduce the special interests as he says, because he has of course taken a lot of money from them. The biggest dissapointment of the election for me though, is that neither candidate has talked at all about how we can significantly cut spending in the right ways.
