20th century was the time when humanity defeated myths and lies. When science finally could destroy all the lies that had people tied to books of legends, written thousands of years ago by people who needed a "Super-Harry-Potter" to explain everything that science can easilly explain today.
Why did God allow 11-S, 11-J and 11-M? Christians, Muslims, Jews, ... are dying "in the name of God". Why? IS GOD A SADIST?

I chose science after comparing it with myths and legends. Did you do the same? Have you ever thought why you are Christian or Muslim or whatever?
If you didn't, I'll explain: The reason lies in the place where you were born and what your parents taught. This means believing in what conquerors/inquisition forced your ancestor to believe in
How many gods are there in the world? All of them frighten you with pain and fire if you follow another one

I do not believe in that god. I do not believe in cartoons or doctrines learned. But I also believe that science can solve your problems such as those outlined, nor science or Harry Potter.

I can't agree: "religion" (better said: some religious people) don't respect science. I don't know of anyone killed by "science" because of his defense of religion, but we all know hundreds in the opposite way, don't you?
We are seeing now how "religion" is forcing schools to teach "creationism" or "intelligent design" at the same level as Evolution theory", using paralogisms and/or sophism that many people can't reject due to their lack of knowledge

now THAT i can agree with. what you just said does make it more difficult to respect religion over science. and i definately agree that religion is blinding the education of young people in the world. but that killing you speak of (and is true, everyone hears everyday on the news) is due to oher religions not respecting other religions and opening their mouth and getting attacked because of it. respecting how other people think could easily save lives in several religious wars.(respected reply)
