we were gaining momtenum against the nazis, we would of won the war eventually cos we britain countered the blitzreig tactic with 'war of attrittion'. the time was already against nazi's as they knew that they needed to win over russia by winter or they wont be able to defence the 2 frontlines. Britain was already taking back france and moving to poland after bombardaring the beachings with our naval ships. (Britain had the best naval in the world during the war)
