i really hate this band. i mean, gerry leonard is horrible: the looks, the predictable way he produces noise, seriously boring noise, from his guitar: come on he's not reeves gabrels (not to mention robert fripp)...
as for earl slick, he's just the oldest fart ever, the epytome of the old fart playing guitar. live, he's very boring, very very, utterly boring. sterling campbell hasn't got any attitude or personality, a drum machine would be better.

where is mike garson? i just hear some organ pad that anybody could play. and the backing vocalist with the tamborine, who also plays guitar sometimes, is so so uhm... useless! yes that's the word.
and gail ann dorsey... well she's been great of course but at this stage she and bowie seem an old couple with anything left to say. the way they run through the song breathless says it all. they throw it away, and not in a punky way. bad stuff.

I like the fact that this is a faster version, but the saxophone stabs are sorely missed. Then again, a stripped-down Bowie live act is A-OK compared to some of his bloated setups in the 80s.

HE CANT SING PROPER ANYMORE. sorry dov, youve lost your range. you hafto rely on your hotish band and your "performance". too many ciggies and bad stuff. you sure can fake like youve got a good voice tho.
