I understand your point, but I still think you're being rather harsh, afterall, Cook did show he isn't completely without originality when he rearranged both Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey's songs. At the very least he deserved the praise he received more than the other contestants who did straight covers week after week.

frankiesaysrelax, I have to admit that I loved listening to MJ's music & loved watching him dance about 20 some years ago. I don't compare this song to MJ's original Billie Jean like some people, because he did Cornell's remake of MJ's original. Some people wonder why he sang it so slow.. dahh, it's the REMAKE & isn't suppose to sound the same as MJ's original. Why are people comparing them anyways? I love MJ's original & also love the way DC sang the remake! DC's awsome! Relax!
