The actor is Robert Rajashekar, did such a wonderful character in this song and also the movie. He has portrayed the character originally supposed to be a person who is so lost in the beauty of life around him that he actually becomes so impractical in real life. This is a character who has elevated himself from the actual difficulties and the 'need to struggle and survive in life' and wants to bring about a new order in which people see only finer aspects of nature and life around.

Hey thanks MPBeatZ. This movie is definitely a masterpiece. There are a few more characters like the guy in this song but they are with different attitudes. The way in which the director brings out these characters is great. U can get hold of this movie at "Thinkfilm" or "Catchflix". Cheers.

Thanks man. People at 30 yrs of age now or beyond wud always be nostalgic about Tamil Cinema between 1982 to 1995. Cos it was more or less the golden age when people in general had a bit more depth in emotions than in present day. Plus, it was the time when the combination of Maestro Ilaiyaraja+SPB+Janaki+Yesudas+Vairamuthu+Bharathiraja+Mohan did some wonders. Its unforgettable

what can i say about this masterpiece of Ilayaraja. He is the maestro and no one can beat him. listen to those violins, bells, percussion and tabla....and the orchestration itself. who else can do it other than Raja. I can die listening to this song

As many have stated those were the golden days of Tamil Cinema-post Sridhar. Fresh talents Bharathi Raja, Vairamuthu and of course Ilayaraja.
There were days when we hunted for the name of Ilayaraja in a new cinema poster and went to the movie. Cared less for the movie as such. You did not have the tech advancements of these days when music is released and heard over net immediately.

I still remember our neighbour crazy about this song in his two in one (looks so outdated right?). He would play this song in his two in one repeatedly -again again and again - that you get bored alround.
Any way a great orchestration. Excellent camera work (Nivas). Great song.
