It's such a beautiful song, everyone's liking it even though they didn't know this song (we're Indonesians) and they gave standing applause for it..
But I have to admit that this one is much more wonderful.. Well, it's by New York Philharmonic after all..
Still a long way to go to be as good as them.. =)
Care to set me straight? :)
Koreans tipical emotion [恨] is
include (sorrow, pain, resistance, yearning).
During its 10,000-year history, Korea has been invaded over 900 times.(It's copy ^^)
For this reason we have peculiar emotion..
In fact, we don't know this emotion..
because we don't experience our generation.
I don't use english well..;
Understand me^^;
Go gae rol no mo gahn da.
It means:
My love has gone.
Arirang, Arirang, a ra ri yo, arirang go gae rol no mo gahn da Nah rol ba re go gah shenon nyee mun, Shim ri do mout ga so bal byong na da.
Arirang, Arirang, My love has gone, He has crossed o'er the hill named Arirang. If he leaves me and does not return to me, he will soon long for me, oh Arirang.
But Nobody knows what exactly 'Arirang' mean is.
Just we can guess that it means 'love', or 'sadness' as a word of accient Korean.
This song must be choosen as Korean national anthem after two Korea's unificaion.
It is little complex to explain, but most similar expression is maybe 'sadness' and 'enduring'. ( I think).
