this is the story told from someone who sees the same story totally differently God didn't assist suicide he forgave Samson returned his power to him allowed him to serve him for the last time He wanted to die not because he was depressed or anything like that he Loved God and was willing to Die which a lot of people are he's a hero not a killer just like the soldiers in Iraq are they killers No they are protecting Us just like Samson was protecting Israel and his people God is perfect

I don't think of it as suicide. Most people fantasize that, "If I'm going down, I'm taking as many enemies down with me." There was no way for Samson to fight his way out of that situation; the Philistines had burned his eyes out. Let's say for argument's sake that God did not grant Samson his strength. So then the Philistines torture him to death instead. Then you could make the argument that God assisted the Philistines in torturing one of his own. You're placing God in a no-win situation.
