As a parent I found the public school system to be an assembly line education. They screw up a kid and that's OK as we just keep sending them more kids.
They want parents to be involved making brownies and selling wrapping paper but to truly be involved is a no no.
I pulled my kids out of the public school system.
I was able to get them into a local Charter School and what a night and day difference.
A place that takes advantage of my children's myriad strengths.
It's wonderful.

The problem with ... ( 1 week ago by jbryant13)
The problem with our education system is we have fallen into the trap of the Enlightenment and separated faith from reason. BOTH are needed to reach our full potential as humans. If you want to see a real life example, Google "The Smartest Guys in the Room" and watch it on Google video. It's a documentary on Enron which was run by Harvard and Yale PhD's and MBA's. (as is Wall Street). Their "brilliance" in math & physics got them into trouble because they had no moral compass. Man is not god
