ok.. im beginner.. so u mean that.. if u wanna play a music.. u have to play chords that match with each other.. like.. D-Em.. a example?
if u wanna solo.. u just play open chords that match with each other also right? like.. if u play the note C and B on the scale.. it wont give u a nice sound... but if u play the C and G, it will... pretty much like that right?

The first part of the impressive solo near the end of the song "I Believe in a thing Called Love" By The Darkness is Based on that E-Minor Penatonic Scale (EADG) = |-12-14-| (Be) = |-12-15-|

I agree, pent. minor scales aren't too good for metal, harmonic minor's better to use if you wanna solo metal style.
I feel so smart saying all of this, I only started playing not long ago ^^ lol

If you start playing in a major key, play the chord that is three semi-tones down. It's called the relative minor. E.g. if you play a C major chord, an A minor chord goes well with it.
If you want me to, I could post a video or two some time, teaching you a couple of scales that might come in useful. I'm no expert but I know how to riff a little lol.

so this help but wasnt what i was looking for..can someone tell me a relly scale for metal cause im starting to get speed enough to play metal a friend of mine told me to start with scales to get as much speed as possible but so far havent find nothing

It would help people more if he just said this is minor pentatonic scale, it can actually apply to all minors not just Em, you just move that shape anywhere on fret board with your root note being on the low E string.
