Philip Glass At Home (2004)
Uploaded by: QuantPlus
Video Description:
Philip Glass practices a piece from "The Hours" for a benefit... and then goes out to buy a loaf of bread. As for the idiots that claim Mr.Glass is mistaken about what he is playing, STFU in general. He is referring to an adaptation of Metamorphosis Two (from "Solo Piano") for the film "The Hours" renamed "Escape!" (track #12 on the Academy Award nominated soundtrack).

Tell a friend:

I was at Gourmet Garage on the Upper West Side in NYC and this guy with a broken arm needs help with his groceries. He tells me his son and he were playing, and he broke it. Turns out he is such a nice guy. I help him with his groceries and call my girlfriend to tell her I met and helped Philip Glass.
i think i think i think i think philip glass is pretty cool guy.
I wonder why?
Could be because Philip Glass's compositions are basically not worth rating? and that his followers consist primarily of the deaf, the insane, and the musically impotent?
perhaps so..
Then again perhaps not. Now please excuse me while I go and take my medicine...
Minimalism is usually just an ostinato or two being repeated and slightly modulated so through the beginning of the piece and end of the piece shows some rhythmic development, maybe carry a simple melody through, maybe even basic harmony.
Minimalism is actually very enjoyable for people that do not have much musical knowledge, because it is simple, that does not mean it is bad music
