The problem with raising minimum wage is that it increases unemployment. So it really doesn't help much to raise minimum wage. What needs to happen is controlling inflation.
But that ain't been happening recently with the Fed's shenanigans.

The thing is that corporations should not run them, but they SHOULD be privatized or at least have more private options.
We also need to make it MUCH easier for people to start their own business. Right now it takes SO long to start your own business that it favors big businesses that are already in place.
Making it easier for people to start their own business would mean more competition and driving prices down, while picking quality up because everyone would be competing for customers. =)
