During the time Slipknot came out.. with Korn and Fear Factory the 3 bands were nearly unheard of since it was the grudge era in music, but Fear Factory came out with Demanufacture and got some notice. I even think Fear Factory mentioned Slipknot and Korn a couple of times and got them saved. So yeah.

ive always thought Obsolete would make a good soundtrack to an animated short, that followed the story of the album, rise of the machines type theme. i really love the concept of the album because its quite probable.

may be punk influenced but this is not punk. As far as I know cyberpunk isn't even a valid musical genre. It's metal that's been tinged with industrial. FF happen to be huge fans of Ministry. Some of the new stuff that's coming out is starting to make Cyberpunk a valid genre. Check out the band "Left Spine Down".
