Your concepts are quite limited. some creatures SEE using SOUND (called Bats). I think the snake "smells" with the tongue. Cameras? "SEE/HEAR". Hearing is much more complex than EARS. We can see with Sonar, Radar etc. I can "See" the Fetus in the womb using ULTRA SOUND. I traveled could mean several things, like, "you should take a "walk" down memory lane?"
