This track, "Islanders of Boracay" describes the character, the work and origin of the islanders of Boracay who are the original settlers of the island.
The melody is sweet... and appropriate for the islanders who, in many ways have taken care of many of us who went there. This particular song is the writer's expression for the islanders' esteem.
I, J C (Ianne, James & Co.) is a group of indie musicians based in Cebu, headed by Atty. Edward James Armonio Dy Buco, JD - an Ateneo de Manila Law graduate and the Chief of Legal in Cebu City port of the Bureau of Customs. He is the composer and lyricist for most of the songs in Cebu Lights & Boracay Bora Boracay albums that he produced. One of the tracks of the album entitled "Nautical Highway" has been chosen as the official song of DOTC's Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH) project and will be awarded a certificate of Appreciation this 28th of April in Cebu City on the occasion of the Central Nautical Highway (CNH) RORO Caravan from April 28 - 30, 2008.
The album story, is about the places we have gone to like Cebu, Bohol, Boracay and Ilo-ilo- capturing all the little bits, with the right amount of forethought and preparation to come up eventually to songs that make sense. This is to communally serve the Philippines as well and participate in our nation's tourism promotion.
Included in the CD are songs for Ilo-ilo and Bohol.
