Stan Winston died on June 15, 2008, at his home in Malibu, California after suffering for seven years with multiple myeloma.
A spokeswoman reported that "Stan died peacefully at home surrounded by family."
It is not known if his work on Terminator 4 was completed before his death. A teaser for the upcoming Terminator film will premiere with The Dark Knight.
According to reports, next for Stan Winston was Jurassic Park IV. R.I.P

Stan may have left this earth but his art will live on for as long as people watch the classic horror/scifi flicks of the 80's & 90's. He was a great craftmans/artist and was also and all around cool guy. Why does God take people like Stan yet we STILL have worthless pieces of crap like Lindsey Lohan, Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, etc still walking among us? It just is NOT FAIR! Stan is, however, in a much better place. A place where the aforementioned probably will never be : )

I love STan. He made my dreams come true as a kid when he helped make Jurassic Park. God...its not going to be the same without him. Jurassic Park 4 is on its way. I hope his teachings have been inbedded in all those wonderful and talented engineers and artists.
