I was at the Pete Rock vs. DJ Premier beat battle earlier this summer out here in Los Angeles. I got a chance to see two legends spin their own hits on vinyl, I'll never forget that shit.

It was advertised as a battle, but it was really a Premo & Pete Rock DJ showcase. They took turns spinning 2-3 records, each having their own turntables setup. I'd say Premo got the most love from the crowd probably due to his somewhat mainstream success (well, at least compared to P.R. I guess), but not by much.
