They're pretty well known (or at least around my town, which is biased because they are based in portland, where i live).
And I don't really think they were doing Yo Gabba Gabba for money. The Aquabats member who created it I think knows a lot of bands and has them on the show, like they did with Shiny Toy Guns. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even make any money from it.

Best of the trio of religion-themed songs on the middle of Chutes Too Narrow IMO. Very Cat's Cradle-esque in it's theme, but very different in tone. Great song; Mercer is a great freaking writer.
