Mr. Pollan: Thank you for bringing this to light. How did we, as a people, become so unconscious? It doesn't matter what subject goes under the microscope. They all prove one thing: The ignorance of our culture and lack of, or unwillingness to, look into the future is definately going to be our downfall.

I'm currently attending St. Marys College of California, and we're reading this book as the theme for freshman year.
This book I think, is exactly what the world, and especially this country, needed. If everyone read this, I think the entire mess of vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, low carb, whatever diet would be considerably rethought, and people would be wonderfully enlightened.
