Um..no. A manchurian candidate is one who is brainwashed and ultimately, being controlled by a remote source, acts in a specific way which he/she does not even recall after the fact.
So while not a home run I think it's gwb to the hilt. Just look at what his stated positions were prior to being sort of elected and then what he's actually done. And it is relevant because McSame professes to follow through on the same policies! Even in the face of their dismal results!

during the 2000 primary, the neocons supported mccain wholeheartedly (because he's one of them). when bush was nominated, they didn't waste time moving him over to their side, until he became a puppet. as soon as cheney was picked as VP, it was clear the neocons had totally taken over. look at mccain's foreign policy advisor, randy scheunemann. he's a leanding neocon and one of the planners of the Iraq invasion going all the way back to the late 90s. mccain is clearly MUCH WORSE than bush.

Clark would have been a great choice for VP. I am so unbelievably impressed by Clark and his inability to "politick"...it's truly refreshing.
Guess that's what comes with his experience and background...
I wonder what would happen if we started picking the candidates based on merit & ability rather than on all the window dressing? I wonder what would become of national security, the economy and to our personal freedoms?

No doubt...to an extent, she was a great choice. No one knows anything about her...she's this likeable little cheerleader, etc. But when the newness wears off and people start realizing she's an empty "dress suit" then they'll realize the short sightedness of that choice.
Again, there's no merit to Palin...just strategy and if I were a high ranking democrat (potentialy VP candidate), I'd be very pissed.

You'd think with all the Neocons, AIPAC and Israel's running of American foreign policy they would have somehow made the Iraq war pay for itself, even profit from it.
Failure in this way is part of the reason of American's questioning the war, finally.
Poor Neocons,...they planned the invasion of the Middle East since the early 90's.
Failure was the result and failure too of conquering the rest of Israel's enemies.
