Icelandic singer Bjork's first concert in mainland China Sunday (March 2) after she chanted "Tibet" several times during "Declare Independence," the closing song in her set at the Shanghai International Gymnastic Center.
By appearing to come out in favor of independence for Tibet, which China claims is an integral part of the People's Republic.

I hope one day china will allow freedom of speach for artists in the west we have a tradition of artists and writers being able to question and attack the governments actions - even the Dixie Chics criticised the war in iraq and shakespere would poke fun at authority hundreds of years ago. China has many great intellectuals and artists writers etc who are jailed for speaking out against injustice when china opens the door to freedom of expression/religion it will be a great country

Chinese people - grow a pair and give them the culture they diserve. When Chinese students come to american colleges, they are allowed to express their cultural values, and quite frequently have Asian Culture Festivals on campuses, why then is it so hard to let Tibet celebrate their own (with out being beaten) ?
