Is this a crying competition or to tell about how bad your live has been. This is a total ripoff ( Paul Potts was original ) this was bad. Incredible that he can fool the whole audions. This is to American for me. He is a sales man ( I only miss the part that he is a MOBILE sales man ) How stuppid can you be to get fouled by this. I MISS SIMON!!!!

it's simple...Potts, very powerful voice and I can actually listen to him and enjoy...Boyd, has a nice talent, but I found myself asking "is he done yet?" on each of his performances.
I think it's great that he won...life changing and all that jazz, but I can't see him making a decent career from this...there's just not enough interest to sustain it and his voice puts me to sleep.

none of the men should be singing nessun dorma!!!!!!!!! what the hell. the role of calaf is for a dramatic tenor, and none of these "tenors" do it justice at all. they probably don't even know what they're saying, or know what turandot is even about. seriously, people think they can sing a song and people who don't know opera at all (like this entire audience and panel) pee their pants. it's really sickening.

That's so true. Not only about this act but about every act on this show. The judges are supposed to be able to judge all kinds of talent, when really they know nothing about anything at all, and just follow the easiestly impressed audience anyware.

The judges are standing because Neal is a brillant singer. That was a spectacular performance of a classic opera song. I've heard Paul Potts, and while his version was incredible. Neal's version is just as spectacular. I don't get why people are comparing the two. It sounds like sour grapes to me. Congratulations Neal.

Here is the thing about Paul Potts. He is a great singer, but he doesn't have the power. His voice is almost awkward although good in his own respect. No doubt he is a great singer. But, Neil Boyd is more of a Pavarotti type figure. His power blows you off your feet and it is almost unsurpassed. That is what determines a great Opera singer. His voice is amazing and his power is ridiculous, something Potts doesn't have. That is why Neil Boyd is better than Paul Potts
