They are insightful and helpful, as they seem to be coming from a person who knows bout both sides.
On the "racist" I tend to not agree, because to me racism is related to qualities or "defects" of ppl based on their blood, the "racial features" they are born with. A behaviour is a choice of every human being, so I do not like to subsume it under "racism" which is much more wicked as it limits ppl to what they cannot alter, colour and stuff.
I do not agree with most allegations of "racism" towards Arabs, for instance, when it comes to how men are oftentimes harrassing Western or Latn women and thinking they d be "easy".
This is a widespread behaviour that I as a mixed person with black wavy hair, bronze ski and light blue eyes have often experienced by Arab youth in European cities. got blue eyes, must be Western - sl**. If a large amount of Arabs behave that way - it s not racism to me, they re choosing that way!
chances are high you ll be coming across me saying "white girls cant dance" or similar things are untrue and racist when checking US bellydancers entries (inter alia stuff byWDNY, Sandra or Michelle Joyce from California and many others), just to say how ridiculous it is attacking ME for saying nonArab or white girls were not to do bellydancing or couldnt.
I take it you have a lot of rage towards whomever judging from your post - and assume it is not me you intend to hit.
I have made a bellydancing video. i havent taken lessons or anything. i was just wanting to have a laugh and give it a go.

I did not feel offended at all!!! i was grateful for your views shared, because it is rare to see someone who knows both sides. necessarily anyone who s predominantly living in "one world" will have a more narrow point of view than someone who knows both and can find the "middle way" :)

To most of you posters, I like all forms of belly dancing, but tribal gets the most attention from me because it's modern and different and Rachel Brice shed alot of light into that. But my god, lots of retarded posts in here, why can't we all just get along? :P
