Little late but restart your pc , continusly tap f8 intill you open a window giving you the option to start up in safe mode and make your self a temporary admin to do this but being its not your personal pc then id leave it

You don't need to restart, you can simply end the explorer.exe task in ur taskmanager and add the fake explorer task... Like that u can see the changes u did much faster

First of all, unix is an entirely different thing than linux. Secondly, pre NT windows shipped with the actual DOS kernel inside it. Now all the new versions just have a ported command prompt called cmd.exe (notice the option to reboot in dos mode is missing)

Linux and Unix are the same dude. Do some research. Linux is just the shell OVER the unix. So I guess recovery console is just a ported command prompt too huh? Doubtful, because for a ported command prompt to work, you need a working installation of windows right?
