I think maybe a Spanish TV show might have broadcast the show and therefore used Spanish subtitles because, weirdly, in Spain people speak Spanish and yet still like Harry Potter stories.
Hard to understand I know but some people can speak more than one language and they translate stuff for those of us who can't.

the dude that has the video knows spanish and english and so he just did subtitles for the spanish/ mexican people.
And no, they don`t have a different accent, this is the real english, americans speak with ccent actually.

The interview was obviously taped from a broadcast in a foreign country. In Spanish speaking countries, they often will show English languages programs, and the subtitles are there for the Spanish speakers in case they can't understand.
Indecently, in Great Britain, the word "thick" is often used like we use "dense" in the U.S.: that is to say, not all that intelligent. The poster is obviously questioning your intelligence, and your deadpan reply was unintentionally funny. FYI.
