Yup, ANOTHER Woodstock clip, showing the heavy use of drugs and alcohol... Amazingly, there were only 3 reported deaths at the festive, and only ONE of them were drug related! Don't you just feel we live in a paranoid world now?

I wish I could have been there. It makes me sad that my generation has become so violent and desolate that a large scale festival of peace isn't possible. There are a lot of problems with the world today, I just wish more people my age had the same spirit and persistence that people had back then. We could find the solution to these problems if we could work together. By the way, I love this song :) Arlo Guthrie rocks!

I was from that era, even if I was just a kid. My parent were liberal & I paid attention to what was up. Problems back then may have been slightly different, but they never go away. We're always in the moment of now & the rebellion never stops. Some old warriors leave, new ones join, & some old dreamers stay until they die. I'll never give up. New songs & art of all kinds, writers, poets, dreamers; look for what moves people today. Find your own dream & honor the ones that haven't died.:)

I'm sorry but i have to disagree, i've been brought up with Glastonbury festival here in the UK which has grown from 1500 in 1971 to well over 200,000 today it promotes green issues and alternative lifestyles and contemporary arts whilst giving millions to charity each year. Whats more local tradesman and travellers make it happen and serves all generations. It has the best vibes anywhere i've ever found, peace and community spirit is out there just look harder or even better start one yourself.

Saw arlo in concert and he told a story how he was so stoned he fell through a hole in the stage right before he went on, and had to be help out. And his daughter didn't know he was famous til she saw him in the woodstock movie.

I'll never forget Stanford U. marching band playing this song in the Pasadena, Ca. Rose Parade---Ah--Yeah, that's what I thought too! No one was singin' the words so the committee
must have thought "coming into Los Angeles. Sounds like regular normal(?)song--O.K.!"
