Here are some of Dazzle's runs from the Muddy Paws (MudPACK) NADAC agility trial in Port Gamble, WA. Sorry about getting this video up so late!
This trial is always a lot of fun for us because it is outdoors, right on the water and the weather is traditionally nice. Dazzle really enjoys going and playing on the beach after a long day of agility.
This year it was a little not-so-great because Daz wasn't feeling her best and on top of that the dogwalks were very slippery (you may notice in one run I make a very wide turn for her so she can have a good approach). Lots of dogs were slipping and falling so that was kind of a worry....
We tried a bonus line in Weavers but she missed a weave pole entrance so we didn't get that far on it.
Despite all that, Dazzle actually (for the first time in her career) Qualified in every single run on Saturday. She has never gone 100% before! Sunday was less than stellar but still, I'll take what I can get.
No new titles at this trial, but she is getting very close to a few more!! Stay tuned...

| Teaching her to work well away did take quite a bit of time. Most important for distance is to have good directional verbals (Out, Come, Left, Right, and we also have a generic "turn away" command). If you have those solid it doesn't take too much more to get distance - just some obstacle independence. :) |

| She ate kibble that had grains in it and she doesn't do well with those kibbles - she usually eats Grain-free. So all weekend she was just feeling kind of yucky. |

| Thanks! Recovery is going pretty well so far. I can run a little, just not a whole lot yet. Still working on getting my strength back - hopefully by about October I will be good to go like we used to run. |
