ingwie is by far most influenced by blackmore.
he also considers blackmore as the best guitar player of the seventies...
and yes this solo is not my cup of tea as well,
but for you guys out there check out you fool no one studio version
but the minimum is to see that malmsteen plays far miles more than blackmore... why?.. because he came later... he has more "musical luggage" them blackmore... its like compare jeff kollman with hendrix... jeff came later of course he plays better technically... that was my comment. blackmore doing a lot of random notes and dirty!
But this solo, isnt good at all.. Before anyone looks at my profile. IM NOT SAYING I can do better, mostly because I wouldnt even know how to approach this, but its really not even good work by him, let alone best work. I think he's really coked out here... Im sure if he watched it, he'd be like "WTF was I on man?"
