The Colorado Springs police brutalized several, arrested 7, 3 needed medical treatment, and 1 a hospital during the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Colorado Springs. A meeting with the Mayor and chief of police was May 2 and a local church has offered to host a Town Hall forum on the police behavior.
Update as of February 1, 2008: All charges have been dropped against all 7, we have been invited back this year, and the ban on "social issues" has been dropped.

There is no legal incentive to deter police from being the voilent bullies that most of them are at heart (Yes, MOST of them). They shouldn't get suspended with pay, or without pay - they should be fired, charged, and sent to prison for a long time to be raped and killed. Obviously, some of you haven't gotten an older person angry. By looking at stills you can't tell excessive force. The "choke hold" was not restricting his airway, not a choke. Apparently they were arresting one person and the older female attempted to stop them. That's a crime btw. Failing to follow directions of an officer, also criminal. If you think you are getting unlawfully arrested, comply and then file a lawsuit.
