It may have some effect 10 YEARS down the road, but we have to spend the next ten years looking for different sources of energy- not sticking with oil! Thats why the Republicans want to drill- so they can line their own fucking pockets! They have made billions on the fact that we depend on oil! Stop being a bigot!

All offshore drilling is going to do is strengthen our dependency on oil. We have to invest in other energy policies that will have an impact 10 yrs down the road- not continue to work toward further oil dependency. Why not start now to BREAK our dependency not INCREASE it. In ten years we'll be better off! THEN OPEC can eat their fucking oil!

While we're drilling & getting our own oil(!) we can use/fix the refineries we already have & those in Canada to help bring the prices down.
