Im sure its possible they will eventually remake this fully but I only see the older ones being remade because they were on the much older system that many people have long but trashed, sold, pawned or whatever to move on to better. So while FF7 can be run on the PS2/3 still today, tis not the biggest thing thing for them when they have new games to work with. However if they do plan to, I may have to consider buying it just cus im sure they would add SOME slight new things in (enemys or places)

Don't worry, FF7 was developed by SCEA as well. In other words Sony owns rights to FF7, it's not going anywhere else if the remake is coming out. Which I hope it does in the future.

it's NOT a remake, it was a tech demo to show people what ff7 would look like IF it was remade for the ps3. Square-Enix have already said that there won't be a remake
