nice 1 m8... but can any1 who can do backtucks give me some advide on how to learn it on da floor wotout a matress or trampaline becuase i don't ave either of dem. i can do gd backtuck wit spotter btw... i just need sum advice on how tp learn it on the floor wotout a spotter. so if u have any tips plz tell me :P thx!!

Have your spotter trying using only one arm to spot you with. Eventually have the spotter just keep his arms there just incase but not actually help you in any way.

It will just take time. Just get the spotter to put less and less effort as u improve. My friend was so scared he could not evan do it on a mattress but now he can do it on the ground i may take a long time but u will eventually get it.

well, i never had spotters, because i always get scared and screw it up in mid air if i have spotters, so i just got some mats out one day and just tried. If you know the technique, and you can do them fine with a spotter, just do it. if you want, drag your matress from your bed outside, and practise on that lol... but i recommend not jumping from the matress, but jumo from the ground, and land on the matress.

dude come on! by neutral do you mean central because if you spotted the floor you wouldnt have had to jump back when you landed and your head was looking down not strait infront of you i think you need to go back to college and learn how to do the moves again my friend

Neutral as in not thrown back; the common problem with the skill for most beginners. Yes, he did look down, but he still spotted the wall for a moment at the right time which was what I was refferring to. I think most people would have to look down momentarilly to spot the landing, also.

uhm yeah he was looking at the floor because if he looks in front of him he'll land short and go forward. you look at your feet so you know where they will land and just because he stepped back doesnt mean he didnt land right.
so you need to go back and learn your facts.

if it's your mind you can go to the pool and use a diving board, this helps to lose the fear of going backwards. A 1m diving board is perfect, you can also try to do a dive like a half backflip... i dont know the english word, im sorry...

well my problem is the same. but my coach taught me how to just forget about ur nerves. just take a couple of deep breaths and then just go. it actually works for me
