Whether it is Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Natalie Merchant, Bruce and Michael Stipe, Patti and Sarah M or even Keel, the lyrics and melody of this song exemplifies brilliance. Each put their own style to it which justifiably elevates it to legend status.
For this reason I understand why the techos have covered it. Maybe I am a dinosaur, but I just cannot get into their style because they lack the passion.
