I love Willie Nelson, he is just awesome. He does his own thing, and truely exudes peace, and does not care how others perceive him. You cannot compare this with other versions, this is Willie's version, and he will always make a song his own. That's why he is who he is. It will be a sad day when our Willie is called home. Rock on Willie! We love you!

For some people grace means they can do anything and be forgiven, I believe that grace also frees from sin. If mtnfarmboy thinks I'm blind too, then probably my eyes opened up to another reality. The grace I received set me free from homosexuality and pot and all the rest...

I agree with "peggyyes" This is awful. It is only the irrational fan mentality that deludes the listener that this is a good version. Logic and a mild sense of hearing must dictate otherwise. I like Willie Nelson's work but I have no time for the slavish fan devotion that assumes an artist can do no wrong. This is the worst version of the song I have ever heard==By far.......

I agree with your arguments regarding 'irrational biased fan mentality'. That's often the case.Willie puts some strange guitar licks to the song and tries another melody.However, what makes this performance so memorable is the interaction with the audience, which i've only seen or heard before during an Elvis Presley concert.I was amazed by that. As a 75 year old he could have gave a show by routine, like Jerry Lee Lewis's doing nowadays,but he sang for over two hours including a lot of new ones
