| It is meant to be that way. The orchestra is doing it, not Kennedy. It's called dissonance. Listened to Perlmann though, that version is flawless. |

| thanks for the musicology lesson. I am however a trained classical musician myself, and a musiclolgist too, and i do know the difference between dissonance and constonance, i also know that the microtones NK is playing are just a result of sloppy playing. I heard him play the Beethoven concerto back in 1987, before he discovered punk sensationalism. back then, he played beautifully. now, he's just like the 3 tenors...in it for the money, not the music. but if you like it, that's great. |

| I think that Nigel is really good because he doesn't sound all pretty and delicate he wanted to attack that song and make it really intense and aggressive.. he probably played it the way that Vivaldi pictured it in his mind bitter and cod just like winter! |

| If you were a musicologist you'd also recognize the fact that Vivaldi, and most other musicians of the Baroque era were did not looked upon performs for their technical virtuosity, but the goal expressed in playing the music. |

| he doesn't sound refined like most performances, like anne-sophie mutter and karajan. oddly enough, i like kennedy's take much more than most performances. he's got a great atmosphere in his playing, and originality in his interpretation. |

| I totally recognise the fact that the interpretation is always the ultimate goal. Sadly, NK forgets this notion here and plays with vulgarity and it's technically sloppy. The performance practice of the baroque is not taken into consideration here at all and this is a sensationalist rendition only. the good thing about NK is he has in some way re-introduced the idea of 'classical' music being cool. |

| anne sophie mutters sound and technique is souless and thouroughly boring. Nigels performances are spirited and electrifying. He is the Jimi hedrix of the violin. His version of Danny Boy is also brilliant here on Youtube . |
