He may have been forced to join the hitler youth, but he also was a soldier at the end of the war. He could have ran off and risked death. Thats what a true christian would have done. He's the last person to judge gay people since he was a nazi, forced or not, he was nazi. He should not get communion because he was a blood sucking criminal. I accept the fact that I am in living in a time of persecution against Christians, and Catholics moreso. We are being thrown to the lions once again - a biased media. Society is in a decline and rationalizing immoral and illegal behavior is rampant. History is repeating itself and if you want to know what happens next, read The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Maher et al only accelerate it exponentially. I do believe the Church has swept too many things under the carpet and I myself have reported offenses to my bishop. But those are sinful sick men. I believe the Pope did a great thing in reconciling with many victims when he visited the US this year. It's a start... Statistically though, other branches of Christianity have a higher incidence of this atrocious behavior. And Imus should have known better than to repeat a controversial phrase like that on the air, out of context or not. Come on!
