Walkyier started as a thrash metal vocalist. What makes him one of the best metal vocalists is his ability to write poems of magnificent quality. Being a good singer but lacking any remarkable lyrics is what defines an Eric Adams, and I am happy and content with the fact that walkyier is the opposite.

This performance doesn't do justice to Martin. He was (well, still is) one of the greatest lyricists in the entire rock history and a remarkable singer. His relative lack of range and formal singing skills was compensated by his sheer passion. Don't judge the man just based on this not very good performance.

I was in Wacken in 97 and 98. I saw skyclad there. It was one of the best concerts I ever experienced. Phantastic atmosphere. I am convinced though, that it was p7 and not 98.
