The beta band are excellent, as are Radiohead. I couldn't give a toss if the front man of this band is a wanker or not I'm not as shallow to dub an entire bands catalogue shit if the front man is an arsehole. (I.e i love smashing pumpkins but Billy Corgan is a self satisfying dick head). It just pisses me off when people compared bands to Radiohead, they are an amazing band and due to their constant shift in style you cant really compare them to a folk/rock band like .. the beta band.

well, if you're the kind of person that doesn't care about lyrics, that can work. personally i can appreciate bands with arse frontmen but i can't love them. radiohead though are not off in their own category. they're just a band. and no they're not up there with floyd and the beatles.

What do you mean 'the kind of person who doesn't care about lyrics'? When did i ever say that, Thom Yorke isn't the arrogant swine you seem to think he is if thats what you mean. I don't know how people get this impression at all, they seem to keep themselves to themselves more than other bands out there. Why even compare them to Floyd of The Beatles? People seem to have some sort of knack for making crude comparisons with Radiohead when its pointless. Can't people just like the band?

All I can say is they both have their own unique style of music. The beta band can't make radiohead songs and the same goes to radiohead. But I'm sure they both admire each other's music. As for their lyrics, both bands have songs which lyrics doen't make much sense but I think the most important thing is whether it moves you in any way. That's what it matter most to me because we all have different taste.
