Let's face it, when you're playing a baseball game, you want to throw a no-hitter. You let up that bloop single or accidentally hit to throw to third instead of first, and the no-hitter is gone. That's how a real baseball would count it. However, RBI Baseball is above that "real" game they play every April through October. Here's to Tengen, the makers of RBI Baseball, for keeping my no-hitter dreams alive and making another great Nintendo moment.

This may come out wrong, but I love your videos, but that was a botched no-hitter, I had one in this game the way it was meant to be, now I was not aware that you can still have a no hitter even though the runner is on base, but that to me does not count as a no-hitter, i once had a 26 strikeout no hitter and felt great cause i played this game for 15 yrs like it was a religion, and had 1 no-hitter, August 26, 1997 will never forget it and the pitcher was Saberhagen!! Go Royals!!!

I know. I believe the same thing. I was, more or less, pointing out the game's glitch. Bret is definitely the best pitcher in the game to use, which was why I made an RBI video strictly around him.

I remember this game. I used to play against the computer often. I would be the National League All-Stars and play against the Boston Red Sox. I would run up the score intentionally for both teams. I remember I used to get a lot of bunt doubles.

When I say that, I mean a no-hitter by the game's standards. I know the actual standards for a hit. I'm just making fun of the way the old school NES games kept track of what were considered hits.

In the case of this video, yes, they qualified as hits. But a "guy reaching first" does not automatically constitute a hit. Errors, hit batsmen, walks, catcher's interference, or a live ball hitting a runner are some of the many ways a hitter can reach base without registering a hit.
