Spitz and Phelps have NO beef nor envy with each other. Only the losers are imagining animosity between these two.
I'm secure enough to praise Michael Phelps without tearing Mark Spitz down. Both Spitz and Phelps are Olympic legends now. And I am damn proud of BOTH of them!

Mark Spitz and Phelps are both American hero's. They are both hero's of mine. I was 10 when Spitz swam and for the time it was equal to what Phelps has now done. Of course Phelps times are faster but if Spitz lived in todays world he would tie Phelps because they are both winners and they both have the same competitive spirit.
