This is classic cricket at it's very best. I have the tape of world series finals 83-93 and by far this has got to be the best final on it.ODI cricket is sadly not like this anymore where you had these legendary players but the memories still live on.West indies just seem to to a shadow of themselves these days compared to then when you had Lloyd,Richards,Gomes etc. Thanks for posting this little gem! The late 70s and early 80s was the best time for cricket!
Such a special period, full of so many 'once in a lifetime' players.
In regard to this game, there was massive controversy about playing a third final, after this tie. The Windies thought they'd won the best of 3 series by losing fewer wickets.
The 3rd final was a huge anti-climax, which the Windies won easily.

ahaaa i know none of u r gna believe me but the guy who lives down my road hit a century off eldine baptiste in club cricket. and he gave me the bat he did it with. its a quality bat aswell :)
