is it true that it is better to mount the optical drives in the middle rather than the top ? i read it in a review, but i dont totally buy it. they say its better for heat dissipation or something...

Get SATA hardrive its waayy faster, I got a 1.5 TB SATA hardrive it works quietly as a mouse. Other than that its good.

oh i got a question when i was building my computer i had 2 choices to hook up hd sound or AC 97 wasent sure which one to use so i just did the hd sound, any help?

um, do you have to spread the thermal compound yourself, or can you just let the compound spread on its own when you mount the cpu fan?

Always put thermal paste/grease whatever you want to call it onto your cpu, if not, your cpu will overheat and possibly blow up.

Normally people just put a pea sized amount on and leave it, I always have, but if you spread it around it doesnt make a difference, as long as it on there.

alrighty then. thanks for the info. i wasn't sure, it looked like the guy in this video had spread it himself. wasn't sure that was the right way to do it, heard different methods.

dude, thats is not smart.... You MUST use thermal paste . If you don't put thermal paste on your cpu, your pc get overheated.
It is possible though that you used a CPU cooler with allready some paste on it (this is the case with the cooler you ll get delivered with your CPU) But if i were you, i would check it, since it sucks when you destroy your cpu because you didnt use any paste...

mrkwantos, this does not matter becouse i have gon into the bios and checked that the temp was ok. it was around 50celcus and the processor is only 566mhz and i dont over task it becouse i only use that computer for the internet. i got the the cpu for 4 pound on ebay. thanks for your advise tho, 0174varander...
