Anybody who has taken a college level Geography class, you know that once a nation industrializes, population recedes and it is for many reasons that are too numerous to get in here. I personally would like to sterilize people like the guy that called in, that is a start to solving overpopulation.

The other problem with this guy's thinking is that he actually believes the government gives a shit about Joe Citizen. He talks like if we did what he suggested, that the American people would benefit from such an endeavor. The mega wealthy would engineer and be the only beneficiaries. True, the US has the most nukes, but a nuke out would be like the falling of dominoes, when one starts the rest will follow and were all screwed. The US murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese when they dropped nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This would not be done today as the US knows that a prompt response would follow from nuke armed countries. HOWEVER, the US is polluting countries with radiation by using depleted uranium weapons.

These DU weapons radiate the environment and human populations. Why does the US never pick a war with Nuke armed countries? Why is it that the US is shitting its pants that Iran might acquire nukes? Any country that has nukes knows that it is safe from US bullying. The US and its poodle (UK) cannot have a monopoly on nukes. The knowledge is out there and many countries could if they wanted to become nuke powers. I see Japan becoming a nuclear power in the future.

you need to utilize birth control and educate people on overpopulation(some people still dont belive) and hopefully reduce waste such as stop national competition by forming alliances. If your country is smart and can sustain itself by controlling population that wont do anything on a global scale, you need to find a solution where you can get everyone in the world onboard.
