Speaker Pelosi spoke this afternoon at an enrollment ceremony in the Capitol, in which she signed the College Cost Reduction and Access Act, the largest investment in college financial aid since the GI Bill in 1944. After the bill was enrolled, it was sent today to President Bush for his signature into law. Also speaking are Chairman George Miller and Chairman Ted Kennedy. Let their be no mistake -- there IS a difference between the two parties. The Democrats are in power for less than one year - and look at what they have accomplished ... all with a President hostile to the needs of young Americans. This is the BIGGEST investment in higher education since the GI Bill - and it happened because YOUNG PEOPLE voted for Democrats. Thank you Democrats!

This legislation is very exciting! It will help people like my brother who rely on loans to pay for college because the interest rates will be less. He will have less debt when he graduates and will be able to persue his dream job, teaching high school.
