Guess again. Paul Simon never co-wrote anything. The second I heard this years ago I new it was all Paul Simon. Just as you can pick out Paul McCartny songs from groups like Badfinger.
"Red Rubber Ball" ...( 4 months ago by gcwagoner)
"Red Rubber Ball" was co-written by Paul Simon (of Simon and Garfunkel) and Bruce Woodley (of The Seekers). According to Cyrkle guitarist Tom Dawes, Simon offered it to The Cyrkle when they were opening for Simon and Garfunkel on tour. The Seekers also recorded "Red Rubber Ball" for their 1966 album "Come the Day." At "Music Notes", the sheet music for "Red Rubber Ball", for the album Simon and Garfunkel - Old Friends, also credits the songwriters as Paul Simon and Bruce Woodley."

There are only about 20 of that guitar in existence. It's a double neck Gretsch "Bikini" guitar. There's one for sale on Ebay right now. Bidding is only up to $800. I wonder what it will go for. BTW this song was written by Paul Simon. If you don't know who Paul Simon is I feel sorry for you...but not too sorry because you have a lot of youth I wish I had.

So, what's to explain the "live" singing and stuff being ahead of whatever is in the foreground (starting verse 2). Is the video overdubbed with the original studio track?

you might be right as a musician youre not a novice like me---- mucking about in the early days with the windows movie maker--i did use a couple vid segments and audio tracks to join-but i think i forgot to mute the 2nd orig. vid/aud segment out,as when i ran a mp3 under/over it--well done for working the mystery out--theres some great old music vids about --but some of the volume is low when posted--i always try to increase the volune with most of my vids--thanks

Dude on the right was in the coast guard and had to keep his hair short. I remember reading it on the back cover. Great "buble gum" pop production by John Simon of Columbia Records. The weird sound is a short delay on top of the studio recording. Nothing live there, trust me. Even the applause at the end is a total phony fade up. Great clip!
