Back in the 1990's, we ahd a fascination with all things from the 70's. Maybe it was the 1993 film DAZED AND CONFUSED that renewed the interest.
The movie DOGTOWN AND ZBOYS may have sparked an interest in the 80's. Since around 2003 I've seen boys with hairstyes like Lief Garret (which in 1999 would have brought you nothing but stares).
