AVProductions has been cooperating with Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, the organization fighting smoking all over the world, since its very appearance in Russia more than a year ago. Tobacco-Free Kids were initiated by Michael R. Bloomberg, philanthropist and mayor of New York City. We did various media products for this organization and it resulted in a special feature for journalists for TFK organized seminars in Russia. The production was launched as a low budget project not for the broadcast in order to minimize the costs for the non-profit which we fully support ideologically. The 26 minutes long research looks at the relations between media and world tobacco giants, it goes into the history of tobacco advertising on TV and tries to explain the reasons why people smoke.
