For anyone interested, here's the final stage of Bangai-O for the N64. It's pretty much identical to the Dreamcast version, although the final boss just isn't as menacing with his paltry 120 missiles.
I also left the ending in because it is hilarious. I can't read a lick of Japanese, but it's still great. Someone should translate it, unless the localized Dreamcast version is pretty much the same.

I liked the Dreamcast version. That was my game until I loaned it out...word to the wise never lend out your games to someone who's about to get evicted from there home.

The DS one is the best. I got the Japanese version. 160 levels 4 player Level editor and a sound transfer system smaller larger Bosses and enemies More Weapon(lightsaber dash attack and Guns) AWESOME!

I even figured out how to transfer my levels I design. Although I completed the game, I feel like I got to just try the game out, because like you, I plan on playing the US version. Treasure games and NINTENDO games are the only type of games I actually enjoy reading the story from.

the Dreamcast version is a good version ,if any of you get the chance to try it out.
but lets face it 95% of the time a good game will stand up on any platform..
